Electric Feel: The Nissan Leaf

I can't believe I'm actually typing this, but the first vehicle to be completely powered by electricity is officially HERE!

It's called the Nissan Leaf, and it's supposedly the vehicle that will take us into the next generation of green driving.

Check out a really cool run-down of the car, its specs and how it works below:

So are you on the Leaf bandwagon yet?  At the low price of about $25,000, it's pretty hard not to be!

For more on the Leaf, check out the official website, Facebook fan page, or follow the Leaf on Twitter @nissanevs!

Going Green: Logical Lighting

This is one of the coolest concepts of the use of green energy I've seen so far!

The Turbine Light concept basically uses the power of the wind that is generated from cars speeding by to light up the highways at night.

So as opposed to continuing to use electrical energy to light up highways (when sometimes, very late at night they're not even being used) in the near future we will be able to conserve our energy and go green by using wind-generated light instead!

The Turbine Light will debut with more details at the Greener Gadgets conference on February 25 in NYC, along with many other exciting new green inventions to help conserve our Earth's natural resources.

Get stoked!

Smoking For the Environment In Style - SmokeStik

Let's face it, although we've come a long way in our knowledge about the harmful effects of smoking cigarettes, a large portion of the United States STILL smokes!  So what do we do about this?

Well I'll let you in on a little secret: There's a new product on the market called SmokeStik, which is a completely green, electric cigarette that provides you the sensation of smoking along with the nicotine, without any of the carbon monoxide, tar, or any other cancerous chemicals.

Just like celebrities abandoned their gas-powered vehicles for electric vehicles in a trendy effort to "go green," celebrities are abandoning their cancer-sticks and jumping on the electric cigarette bandwagon!

Actress/singer Taryn Manning is the official spokesperson for SmokeStik, because after being a longtime smoker she switched over to SmokeStik and it enabled her to be kinder to the environment, as well as to her own body.

Other celebrities have been spotted out and about using SmokeStiks including Queen Latifah, Eric Roberts, Rob Dyrdek, and Leonardo DiCaprio! (Leo is a big environmentalist but also a big smoker, so this product is perfect for him to endorse!)

Leo takes a drag from a SmokeStik while riding his bike around town (looks pretty real, huh?)

I'll tell you that I've tried a SmokeStik, and it's very much like smoking a milder, portable hookah.  It's really a great product because it tastes good, it gives you a buzz, and it's not harmful to your body in any way!

The SmokeStik has no actual flame, so there is no littering of any kind when you smoke it, and it is powered by rechargeable lithium batteries.

The smoke that comes out of the SmokeStik isn't actually smoke, but instead it's a vapor which has been named GRAS (generally recognized as safe) by the FDA, and it is not subject to fire codes or secondhand smoke laws!  You can even smoke this product on an AIRPLANE if you so choose!

What's more, this product can do WONDERS for someone who is trying to quit smoking.

The SmokeStik comes in all different styles and colors; One style even has a DIAMOND on the tip that lights up when you take a drag!
