Watch Out Zac Efron: Logan Lerman's About to Blow Up Your Spot!
Tuesday, February 9, 2010 at 11:48AM I'm calling this right now: Logan Lerman is going to officially be deemed Hollywood's new "IT Boy" in approximately... two months.

You may have heard of this new movie that's about to come out "Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightning Thief." It's based off of a series of kids adventure books and in my opinion, is probably going to become somewhat of the next "Harry Potter" series (although I'm not sure any movie series will ever surpass the Harry Potter phenomenon).
Regardless, Logan Lerman is going to be the star of the "Percy Jackson" movie series, and not only is he CUTE AS A BUTTON, but he's got a body of work to back it up.

I'm actually referring to his resume, not his body--Lerman has been acting since he was five, and made his film debut in "The Patriot" with Mel Gibson. From there he went on to other projects such as "What Women Want" which also starred Mel Gibson, "Riding in Cars with Boys" starring Drew Barrymore, "The Butterfly Effect" starring Ashton Kutcher, and a television series about the Kennedys called "Jack and Bobby," in which he played Bobby Kennedy.
Since then Lerman has continued to work in film, but he has been needing that one film to give him his big break in the leading role. Enter: "Percy Jackson and the Olympians"

This film is going to do for Lerman what "High School Musical" did for Zac Efron. Trust me, by next year he will be EVERYWHERE.
Not only that, but Lerman is also in negotiations with Sony to take over the role of Spiderman for the next installment of "Spiderman" films.
Check out this interview of Lerman talking about the possibility of playing Spiderman below:
"Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightning Thief" comes out in theaters February 12th, so go check it out!

Boy, weren't you right? By the way, in Jack & Bobby, their last name is McCallister, not Kennedy.
