It Grows On You: Broken Bells

They took a little while to grow on me, but I am now officially on the Broken Bells bandwagon!

Broken Bells is collaborative side project made up of Brian Burton, otherwise known as Danger Mouse, and lead singer of The Shins, James Mercer.

You can definitely hear influences from both the electronic and indie music genres, but Broken Bells ultimately has a very fresh, exploratory sound!

Check out their first single, "The High Road" below:

Electric Feel: The Nissan Leaf

I can't believe I'm actually typing this, but the first vehicle to be completely powered by electricity is officially HERE!

It's called the Nissan Leaf, and it's supposedly the vehicle that will take us into the next generation of green driving.

Check out a really cool run-down of the car, its specs and how it works below:

So are you on the Leaf bandwagon yet?  At the low price of about $25,000, it's pretty hard not to be!

For more on the Leaf, check out the official website, Facebook fan page, or follow the Leaf on Twitter @nissanevs!

Keep An Eye Out For: Later Days

If there's one band you've gotta keep an eye out for in the next few months, it's Later Days!

The band just won KIIS FM's Wango Tango Breakout Star Contest, which meant that they were awarded $10,000 AND a spot playing at Wango Tango 2010, which is one of the biggest music festivals in Los Angeles!

Check out a few of their songs below:

"Affair With the Industry"

"I Don't Know One Thing"

Not only do they play fun, fresh music, but these guys are GREAT entertainers, and really exciting to watch onstage!
