New Cee-lo Green... F* You! ... Ooo, Ooo, Ooo...

"F*ck You" is the new single from (Gnarls Barkley singer) Cee-lo Green's upcoming album, provisionally titled, "Cee-Lo Green Is The Lady Killer."

I love this song not just for the fun, happy beat, but the words are so real and emotional... yet, without taking away from the humor of it all.  Here's a video with lyrics, so you can see what I mean:

Now that you know the words, it's time to sing along with feeling!  Like this guy, whose video I randomly came across on YouTube and just made me smile because he's having so much fun :)

New Music Monday: The Will To Survive

Megan McNeil is a talented teenager who wrote a song while battling the very aggressive cancer she still fights. The song is called "The Will To Survive," and it's been produced by Garth Richardson (he also produced Rage Against the Machine, Nickelback and Hedley). A pure and deep song that'll make you grab a tissue or a loved one and count your life's blessings.

The video's official release date is tomorrow, but you can check it out now, below.

In her blog, Megan states, "I wrote The Will to Survive to give hope to anyone who needs it at a very drk point in their life--but especially kids battling cancer."

The song's being sent to radio stations now for September, which is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. "The Will To Survive" is also available on both iTunes and Amazon. A portion of the proceeds from the song will go towards childhood cancer causes. Needless to say, I encourage you to buy this track... do it for the kids!

You're a ROCKSTAR, Megan!!!

Look Out America - Purple Melon is Coming!

America better watch out, because a new band from the UK is about to take the US by storm.

They're called Purple Melon, and their sound is very nostalgic, yet refreshing at the same time.  Very reminiscent of The Beatles with a little classic rock thrown in there to mix thing up. The band hasn't even released an official single yet, but they've been playing all the local LA music venues and made a rathor memorable guest appearance on Simon Fuller's If I Can Dream project.

Check out a snippet of their hit song "Please Don't Go" below:

If you like this, you can check out more of Purple Melon's music at their Myspace or their Facebook.  You can also follow them on Twitter @purple_melon!
